Real and digital shared one volume. Actors performed on an LED stage while reactive CGI played across walls and floor, casting light and reflection onto them in-camera.
The world was built to camera on the LED volume — light, reflection and parallax resolving live on set. Individual shots were then extended in post, layering additional CGI into the captured frame.
Two figures mirror each other across an empty volume, isolated but synchronized. The set shifts as they move — architecture choreographed to the performance, not just placed behind it.
Commissioned by Overkill to mark the release of the Adidas NMD_S1 and directed by OBJ Studio, the film reframes a sneaker drop as an atmospheric portrait — closeness, surface, and the tension between digital and physical presence. Two performers mirror each other across a sterile space, isolated but synchronized, circling the void between them.
We designed and built the environment as a hybrid volume. CGI backdrops, built in Cinema 4D and rendered for LED display in AMBION’s Superoom XR studio played live across walls and floor. Live camera moves were matched to virtual scene logic, so light, reflection and parallax resolved in-camera; individual shots were then extended in post. Virtual production gave the digital set physical presence: lights cast correctly, surfaces reacted, the space felt inhabited.
